Acceptable Use

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to all services provided by HB web hosting. It exists to protect our network, our customers, and the wider internet.

1. Prohibited Content

  • Content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others.
  • Sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that promotes violence or terrorism.
  • Phishing, malware, ransomware, botnets, and command-and-control infrastructure.
  • Piracy, fraud, or the sale of illegal goods or services.

2. Prohibited Activities

  • Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating open mail relays.
  • Network attacks, port scanning, denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) activity, or brute-forcing.
  • Unauthorized access to systems, networks, or data.
  • Hosting or distributing malware or facilitating any of the above.
  • Using the Services to violate any applicable law or the rights of third parties.

3. Resource Usage

Services are shared resources. You must not use your service in a way that degrades performance for other customers, including sustained excessive CPU, memory, disk I/O, or network usage on shared plans. VPS and dedicated plans are subject to the fair-use limits described on the relevant product page.

4. Cryptocurrency Mining

Cryptocurrency mining is permitted only on plans that explicitly allow it and only within your allotted resources. Mining that affects other customers or violates provider terms is prohibited.

5. Security and Responsibility

You are responsible for the security of your account and servers, including keeping software updated and using strong credentials. You must respond promptly to abuse or security notices we send you.

6. Reporting Abuse

To report abuse of our network or services, email support@hb-webhosting.com with relevant details and evidence.

7. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action we consider appropriate, including warnings, suspension, or termination of the affected service. Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate termination without refund.
